Esther 4:12-14 When Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai, he sent back this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
In these verses Mordechi is basically telling Esther not to think she can hide from what is about to happen because no matter where she sits it will fall on her as well. And she needs to realize that God put her in a this position for a reason and that reason was to save her people. This happens in every generation, every day. So many times today we see Christians changed by power. Whether they let the power grow their human greed and selfishness or they fear losing their position should they rock the boat, they keep their mouths shut. From a leader in a small church group to a Senator it doesn’t matter where it is if something is wrong and against God and His people SPEAK UP. Stand up for His children and His Law. Don’t just sit back saying “Ho hum I’m just me I have no say.” NO fight for those poor souls who need you, to find Christ. You in the Senate or other Higher ups fight for what our country was founded on. All of us need to find someway that we possibly can, even if it is just prayer, fight for our forever family who are losing their lives to the ISIS, just because they love God and aren’t afraid to say it. We all need to realize from the small leaders on up that we, like Esther, were put here for such a time as this. To put on His armor and fight for Him.
We all have our enemies. When we are kids in school they are called bullies. As adults we have other choice words for them. We all have them. They pick and they pick. They make us feel like lowly dirt. Some do it out right while others act like they are your friends. They bring you down and put you in a slump.
We beg and we beg as David did for God to ruin them. Smite them into a burning pile of ash. Something to show that He hears us and he loves us and not them. Something to show that He truly cares about how we are treated. And we find ourselves angry and hurt because He doesn’t seem to answer our calls for help and we wonder why.
Well He has a very good reason why. They are His children too. He loves them as well and He sees that many of them are just crying out for help because someone is doing the same to them. We must remember that we are called to be like Christ. We need to look at what Christ did when facing his own enemies. He turned the other cheek. He prayed for them. He loved on them. We must learn to be humble and pray for our enemies and their salvation or for their hurts to be healed. How else do we expect to be doing God’s work?
So instead of whining or complaining about what this person is doing to you or how they are hurting you. as hard as it will be fall to your knees and beg and pray for that person and whatever hurts they may be going through to be healed.
Lord help us to remember that everyone has a story. Everyone has a hurt and how we deal with that hurt may be the wrong way. Help us to love each other even those who are hurting us. Help others to see your love in us as we walk every day praying for our enemies and those that are hurting us and each others. and Lord I want to ask a special prayer today for those hurting from the ISIS. Please be with all of your children that are being persecuted and killed because we love you. Help them to remain strong and remember that you will be the ultimate winner in all of this. In your glorious name I pray AMEN
