Analyze Youself

Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”
Luke 7:23

I know Jesus said this and He is saying it in a different context here but it really has me thinking.  Yesterday I read these  verses as well
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?  How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
Luke 6:41-42 NIV

We need to analyze ourselves and how we look to others.  I know we say “It doesn’t matter what others think I am my own person”  It kinda does matter.

We do not have the right to judge others because we ourselves are not perfect.  We have to be very careful of our actions, words etc. We have to strive to be as blameless as humanly possible because not only does God call for us to do so but also because once we claim to have given our lives to Christ we are under a microscope.   Whether people are watching for us to mess up so they can call us hypocrite or they are watching because they too want to follow Christ.  Either way they are watching.  So do we want to be a sl reason someone stumbles or someone doesn’t chose Christ?  Do we want to be a reason God loses another child to the enemy?  I don’t think so….

So start watching more carefully what you say and or do.  Strive to be more Christ like.

Lord, we come to you on bended knees asking you to help us keep our minds clean.  With clean minds and faithful hearts we can walk the walk and talk the talk.  Help us to be more like you want us and less like the world.  May we follow you and not be a reason one of your children walks away.  We love you and we praise you.  Amen
