Re Evaluate

Job 13:9  Would it turn out well if he examined you?  Could you deceive him as you might deceive a mortal?

Here Job asks a very point blank and honest question that in reality we all need to ask ourselves daily.  Every single one of us has had a moment or maybe a whole slew of moments where we just keep digging ourselves deeper and deeper into a rut.  Those of us who are Christian in the back of our head think “I know God sees this but maybe He’s too busy with someone else and I can cover it up or I can just act like it didn’t happen….”   Let me see a show of hands out there that have done this or done something and they think nobody will know.  Let me see those hands.  HMMMM  well I obviously didn’t see them if you raised them or not but if you didn’t, remember HE does see them and HE knows if you just lied or not.

God wants us to trust him and to know that He is all that we need.  He wants us to realize that He sees everything we do and we can’t deceive Him anymore than we can deceive ourselves.  So He wants us to examine ourselves daily.  Examine our minds and our souls to reassess and realign with Him each and every morning.  The Bible starts out with the words:  “In the beginning”.  Well that beginning for some of us needs to be every day.  We need to make each new day a beginning so that we can set ourselves straight and remember that the Lord is always there and He sees all.

The day you gave your life to Jesus Christ was the day you accepted that God was doing something in your life and you were surrendering it to Him.  You see He started this plan before you were in your mothers womb (Jeremiah 1:5).  He knew way before you raised your hand that he had great plans for you.

Philippians 1:6  And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Yes He will continue to do this work in you even when you are in your deepest rut thinking that He can’t see you.  You can NOT deceive him as you might deceive a mortal.  That is one of the answers to the above questions.

The answer to the first question is entirely up to you though.  What will He find?  Will it turn out well or will it not?  What will your judgement day be like?  Remember these last two verses and know that God loves you.  Just surrender to Him and hold fast while trying to keep from sin.

Hosea 12:6  So you, By the help of your God, return, hold fast to love and justice and wait continually for your God.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Lord, please help us to reevaluate our lives and to realign them with you.  May we remember daily that you are good and you never change only we do.  We thank you today, tomorrow and all the days to come through every good and bad moment.  We raise our hands in surrender and we love you more than anything there is.  AMEN
